Course Overview

The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care builds on your existing knowledge, enhancing your skills in creating safe, engaging, and effective learning environments for children from birth to 5 years. You’ll gain expertise in developing and managing early childhood programs, leadership, and mentoring - preparing you for roles such as a Senior Educator (Room Leader), or leadership roles such as Educational Leader or Centre Director.

 Flexible Upskill Pathways

We offer two pathways to suit your learning style:

1. Supported Enrolment
    Study independently with one of our preferred providers through online or campus-based courses, with regular support from Goodstart to help you progress.
2. Diploma Upskill Traineeship
    Combine study with on-the-job training under a formal traineeship contract, supported by our training partners and your centre’s supervisor.

Funding and Financial Support

Goodstart employees have access to state-funded initiatives, making study more affordable. Our scholarship and reimbursement program   supports eligible team members to further their education.
