Goodstart Girrawheen

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Girrawheen is close to Our Lady of Mercy Primary School, Girrawheen Senior High School and Summerfield Shopping Complex.

We are a very multicultural centre with educators and families from many different backgrounds. We pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality in child care and early learning in the context of our local community and with respect to the diversity and individuality of our families and children.

Our play based, stimulating curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework and our rooms are all geared with this in mind. We also develop colourful, engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; and with each step we are ensuring the children are ready to take the big step into schooling.

This is made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.
 
Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces – with sandpits, climbing equipment, vegetable patch with compost and worm farm, open space and lots of shade. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.

We have a qualified cook who cooks fresh, healthy and nutritious meals for the children each day. The centre provides all meals during the day, including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack.
