Welcome to Goodstart Girrawheen

We play and learn on the lands of the Yellagonga peoples.

At Goodstart Girrawheen we pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality in childcare and early learning our community, with respect to the diversity and individuality of our families and children.

Our play based, stimulating curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework and our rooms are all geared with this in mind. We also develop colourful, engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; and with each step we are ensuring the children are ready to take the big step into schooling.

We’re a multicultural centre with educators and families from many different backgrounds.

Goodstart Girrawheen is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children.
Our experienced educators use a play-based learning approach to help children develop critical skills and a love of learning.
At Goodstart Girrawheen we design our learning programs to celebrate diversity and inclusion, helping children understand and respect different cultures, with a special emphasis on the histories and contributions of First Nations peoples.
We actively engage with local Indigenous communities, incorporating First Nations cultures and perspectives into their curriculum and programs. Our long-standing relationships with local Elders and community leaders, brings Indigenous knowledge and cultural practices into the classroom. This helps foster a deep sense of belonging and understanding among children.
We offer discounts on multiple days, all-day sessions, discounted shorter sessions, and fee assistance programs for families that need support.
We keep in touch with families via the Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights, newsletters and Facebook page; to ensure open and clear communication.
This supports us to tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.

Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote Key Educator relationships between our educators and children.
Our Key Educator Relationships build strong, secure, reciprocal relationship between each child, their family, and our educators.
Your child will have at least one Key Educator who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them.
We keep in touch with families via the Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights, newsletters and Facebook page; to ensure open and clear communication.
This supports us to tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.
We keep families informed with regular updates on their child's progress and we welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.  
With our approved kindergarten program, early childhood teachers and long day care hours, we're a great alternative to school-based kindergartens.
Our three kindergarten teachers are diploma qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.

Tracey Robinson

Centre Director

Hi, my name is Tracey Robinson, and I am the Centre Director of Goodstart Girrawheen.

I have worked in the Early Childhood Education and Care industry for more than 20 years. During this time, I have held a variety of roles which has allowed me to gain valuable knowledge and experience of the early years education sector.

It is an honour and privilege to work at Goodstart Early Learning Girrawheen, with such a diverse team and community of parents and educators. I have a huge heart and passion for the role I play, and look forward to working alongside our current families, and new families to come.

As a Centre Director, I lead and mentor a team of highly skilled educators to provide high-quality early learning and care with the aim to exceed the National Quality Standards. Our educators are passionate, hardworking and continuously expanding their skills through professional development, as this plays a central role in delivering quality education and care.

Parents are our primary partners and by working together we provide the highest quality care for our children and families. Our centre provides a safe and secure environment for your child to build their confidence and feel a sense of belonging.
