Structured Kindergarten Program

At Pialba, you and your child can enjoy the best of both worlds. Our centre offers a kindergarten program and long day care under the one roof. Our kindergarten teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.

Goodstart Pialba approved Kindergarten program is provided in a long day care and focuses on a breadth of thoughtful play and learning, acknowledging children's unique ways of being and this is extended and scaffolded through inclusive, flexible program and routines.

The concept of wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do and respect for diversity underpins all of our curriculum practices. The program builds on and strengthens children’s emotional resilience, self-confidence, critical thinking, sense of wonder and promotes a sense of belonging, builds respectful positive relationships with others, builds communication skills including literacy and numeracy and thinking skills.

We believe in promoting and encouraging sustainability and environmentally responsible practices across the program including connections with the natural world. Come along and join our adopted Butchulla Elder, Aunty Karen who provides cultural experiences with children, families, kin and staff.
